Thiruvananthapuram: Ten more bike patrol teams will provide security to the Attukal temple during pongala festival round the clock.
City police commissioner S. Surendran said they would ensure the presence of the police in the main road and also on small byroads.

A police control room will be open on the temple premises from February 12 itself when the festival begins.
Apart from deploying women officers, their battalion will also be on duty. Shadow police will be vigilant against eve teasing.
Arches and stages will not be allowed along the roads near the temple.
Police will register cases against licensees of public address systems with sound above permitted limits and confiscate their equipment.
Clubs and charitable institutions will not be allowed to collect funds forcibly as part of festivities associated with the Pongala.
Street vendors will not be allowed to conduct sales or parking vehicles by disturbing the traffic during pongala.
