Only Modi can give a strong govt, says Amit Shah
The manifesto released by the BJP, he claimed, would make India a superpower.
Hyderabad: Claiming that the people have decided to make Narendra Modi the Prime Minister again, BJP chief Amit Shah on Tuesday said that only Narendra Modi can provide strong government.
Addressing the Vijay Sankalpa Sabha in Shamshabad in the city on Tuesday, Mr Shah said that during the last five years the Modi government has enhanced the country’s stature and its biggest achievement was making the country safe and secure.
“There are two camps. One camp is of patriots of BJP led by Narendra Modi and NDA allies, and the other camp is led by Rahul Baba and Gathbandhan,” he said.
The manifesto released by the BJP, he claimed, would make India a superpower. “Can the desh ke tukde karenge gang and Rahul baba’s gang provide such a strong leadership and a stable and strong government?” He said the entire country was happy when India launched air strikes on Pakistan to destroy the terror camp but there was gloom in Pakistan and in the camp of Rahul Baba and company.
He made it clear that the Narendra Modi-led NDA government does not believe in engaging in peace talks with countries that kill Indian soldiers.
He alleged that the Congress, which enjoyed power for a decade at the Centre, encouraged businessmen like Vijay Mallya to take huge loans and escape.
Criticising the Congress for politicising the Pulwama terror attack, he said, “While the whole nation condemned Pakistan, the Congress suspected government’s intentions and supported Pakistan’s claims. They belittled surgical strikes in Balakot.”
He asked if the Congress supports the demand of the National Conference for a PM for Kashmir.
Mr Shah wanted to know how winning 16 seats in Telangana state and trying to form the Federal Front will make Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao the Prime Minister of the country.
The Telangana Rashtra Samiti, like the Congress, was a party of family rule, he said, and claimed that only the BJP can work for the country’s development and make it strong.
He claimed that the BJP-led NDA government provided `2.45 lakh crore to TS in five years against Rs 16,500 crore given during 10 years of UPA rule.
Does Mr Rao have the guts to celebrate Telangana liberation day, he queried, and answered his own question with, “No, he can’t, he fears the Majlis.”
