Namakkal: A Whatsapp message purportedly released from the Vellore Central prison by Yuvaraj, the prime accused in Dalit engineering graduate Gokul Raj murder case, has sent shockwaves here.

Though inmates in prison are not allowed to use cell phone nor any other digital device, Yuvaraj has allegedly managed to send a Whatsapp message, hurling allegations against the CB-CID police probing the murder case.

In the Whatsapp message sent on Monday, he has accused Namakkal SP, S.R. Senthil Kumar of plotting to kill him. He has also accused the CB-CID of dancing to the tune of politicians.

He has mysteriously hinted that the driver of DSP Vishnu Priya, who had committed suicide during the probe into the murder case, knows the reason for her death. Gokul Raj, a Dalit engineer from Omalur in Salem, was found murdered near a railway track at Chinnathottipalayam near Pallipalayam in Salem on June 24 last year.

Yuvaraj, the founder of Dheeran Chinnamalai Gounder Peravai, a fringe caste outfit along with four other accomplices, have been accused of murdering Gokul Raj. After the murder, Yuvaraj was in hiding for nearly four months.

Before surrendering to CB-CID of Namakkal on October 11, 2015, after which he was taken to Vellore central jail, Yuvaraj used to circulate Whatsapp messages frequently. He had even sent a Whatsapp message on when and where he would surrender.  In his latest message, he has also asked people not to vote for money. He has asked people to punish the corrupt politicians.
