GHMC meets hoteliers on Haleem
The bhattis shall be erected on safe places, which will not create any nuisance or hindrance to the pedestrians or the public.
Hyderabad: GHMC commissioner B. Janardhan Reddy has appealed to all the hotel managements to maintain quality of Haleem and ensure safety and health standards in the preparation of Haleem in the ensuing month of Ramzan.
The GHMC commissioner on Tuesday held a review meeting with all the hotel managements along with Additional Commissioner (H&S) and all the AMOHs, for the preparation of Haleem for the ensuing Ramzan festival. He interacted with the hotel managements and requested them to maintain proper hygiene while preparing Haleem. He made it clear that all Haleem bhattis should be set up on ground floors only and desist from setting up on the top floors. The bhattis shall be erected on safe places, which will not create any nuisance or hindrance to the pedestrians or the public.
The commissioner said that every official and hotel management must take moral responsibility for preparing Haleem by ensuring “Swachh Ramzan – Swachh Haleem.” He said that there were about 1,500-2,000 hotels in the GHMC area at least 10 people would be working in them. Therefore, the Ramzan season provides jobs to nearly 20,000 people.
Dr Janardhan Reddy directed the AMOHs to work in coordination with hotel managements give proper training to the workers for effective maintenance of hygiene while preparing Haleem during Ramzan. He also directed all the ZCs and DCs to conduct review meeting in their jurisdiction with all the hotel managements and provide proper training before the starting of the Ramzan period.
