Hyderabad: Four youths, boy held for robbery

Police arrested four youths and a minor for robbery using clues from CCTV cameras.

Hyderabad: Police arrested four youths and a minor for robbery using clues from CCTV cameras. Police said the gang robbed autorickshaw drivers and pedestrians at night.

The arrested persons are C. Bharath, 21, a private sector employee, T. Rama Anjaneyulu, 19, a diploma holder, D. Srikanth, 20, an ITI student, M. Vijay Kumar, a commerce graduate and a juvenile. On Friday night five youths approached autorickshaws parked at Kothapet on two bikes. They woke up the drivers who were sleeping and robbed them of  Rs 2,000. The auto drivers gave the registration numbers of the bikes to the police.

LB Nagar ACP P. Venugopal Rao said that on Tuesday police stopped a group riding triple on a bike and they confessed to the offence. The police recovered two bikes and cash.
