18 counting tables for Nizamabad parliamentary constituency

Hyderabad: The State Election Commission has decided to set up 18 counting tables in the Nizamabad parliamentary constituency, where as many as 185 candidates are in the fray, and 24 in the Malkajgiri Lok Sabha constituency, which happens to be the largest constituency in the country.
Chief Electoral Officer Rajat Kumar informed that the EC had trained the election staff in the operation of EVMs and VVPATs ahead of the counting day. He said counting would begin at 8 am in all 17 Lok Sabha constituencies in the state. Instructions communicated by the Election Commission were also shared with the officials, he said.
