YSRC says Amaravati remains legislative capital
Vijayawada: YSR Congress MLA T.J.R. Sudhakar Babu affirmed that Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy will do justice to farmers by continuing Amaravati as the legislative capital, while developing Visakhapatnam as the executive capital and Kurnool as judicial capital.
Addressing media here on Wednesday, the MLA asked why TDP chief N. Chandrababu Naidu is creating hurdles in distribution of house sites to SCs, STs, BCs and minorities in Amaravati. He pointed out that Telugu Desam and its affiliate parties have gone to the Supreme Court against the verdict given by AP High Court on the issue of providing houses to poor in the capital city of Amaravati.
Sudhakar Babu charged Naidu with trying to stop the CM from creating a nest for 50,000 poor people in Amaravati. He claimed that since YSRC government is fully supporting SC, ST, BC, minority and poor communities, Chandrababu and his supporters are unable to bear it.
The YSRC MLA said it is unfortunate that in the 76th year of independent India, when Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is being celebrated, downtrodden sections are not getting Amrit but wicked political leaders like Chandrababu Naidu, who are spewing poison against them.
Sudhakar Babu regretted that even Communist parties, who fought for land and housing for poor, are now supporting Chandrababu’s stand.
The MLA refuted allegations of Naidu and other leaders of AP that the state is going bankrupt. He pointed out that CM Jagan has deposited ₹2.08 lakh crore directly into accounts of beneficiaries through DBT. “This is the best example of good administration of YSRC government,” he maintained.
