10,000 objections received in Amaravati
CRDA to hold hearings for farmers at all villages from June 13.
Amaravati: CRDA has decided to resolve the objections filed by the farmers of Amaravati capital region. Nearly 10,000 objections were filed by the farmers expressing their reluctance to pool their farmlands under Land Pooling Scheme (LPS) to establish new capital Amaravati.
CRDA has decided to hear the objections filed through 9.2 forms from June 13 in the capital region villages. Last year the farmers of Undavalli, Penumaka, Rayapudi, Nidamarru, Yerrabalem and other areas of the capital region had opposed using of multi crop farmlands for the construction of concrete buildings.
They opposed pooling of farmlands. Later the CRDA provided 9.2 forms to file their objections. Nearly 10,000 objections through form 9.2 were submitted by the non-pooling farmers.
According to sources, the objections filed will become obstructions in the future as non-pooling farmers have continued cultivation in their farmlands with the help of Court orders.
Officials fear that continued cultivation may become a hurdle for the implementation of Amaravati master plan. So they have decided to resolve the stand-off hoping to pool some more farmlands from non-pooling farmers.
But the non-pooling lot is adamant.
Rajadhani Farmers leader, G. Naresh Reddy said that CRDA has sent SMS about the hearing of form 9.2 appeals and objections and asked them to attend the programme. He said that non-pooling farmers had asked the CRDA to include their lands on the outskirts of the village within 500 meters in the Grama Kantham (village contour) but in vain.
He alleged that the CRDA included farmlands, situated at a distance of 1 to 6 km from the village; these included lands of influential persons(among them Telugu Desam leaders) in the Grama Kantham to avoid pooling or land acquisition. Mr Naresh affirmed that they will attend the hearing but will not give land and would approach the Court seeking justice.
Meanwhile, the CRDA is sending messages to all non-pooling farmers to attend the hearing of form 9.2 objections programmes which would be held from June 13 to 15. CRDA officials informed that on June 13 the hearing of 9.2 form objections would be held in Krishnayapalem, Yerrabalem, Nidamarru, Penumaka, Kuragallu, Neerukonda and Undavalli villages of Amaravati capital region.
On June 14 the hearing will be in Ainavolu, Venkatapalem, Velagapudi, Mandadam, Lingayapalem and Nowluru. On June 15 in Ananthavaram, Nekkallu, Sakhamuru, Nelapadu, Tullur, Dondapadu, Borupalem and rest of the areas.
