Telangana advocates to boycott Hyderabad HC on June 13
The THCAA resolved to request the Centre and the Supreme Court to take immediate steps for establishing separate High Court for AP.
Hyderabad: The extra-ordinary general body meeting of the Telangana High Court Advocates' Association (THCAA) on Thursday unanimously resolved to boycott the Hyderabad High Court on June 13 demanding recall of the provisional allocation list of subordinate judicial officers between AP and TS.
The meeting, presided over by Gandra Mohan Rao, condemned the delay by the Centre in bifurcating the High Court and establishing a separate High Court for AP.
The THCAA resolved to request the Centre and the Supreme Court to take immediate steps for establishing separate High Court for AP. It was also resolved to request the Chief Minister of AP to provide the infrastructure necessary for establishing the separate High Court.
The THCAA will also request the TS Chief Minister to take up the issue of bifurcation of High Court with the Central government, Chief Justice of India and the AP government. The meeting requested all the members of the THCAA to abstain from attending the High Court on June 13, in support of its demands.
Mr Mohan Rao said further course of action would be decided in consultation with Telangana Advocates JAC, Federation of Telangana Bar Associations, Telangana Judicial Officers Association and Telangana Judicial Employees Association.
Meanwhile, the Telangana Congress Legal Cell, which met at the Gandhi Bhavan in the evening, resolved to represent the Chief Justice of India, Centre and other authorities concerned to take immediate steps for bifurcation of the common High Court.
C. Damodar Reddy, chairman of the legal cell, said that the meeting, chaired by the TPCC working president Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, resolved to demand and represent the Chief Justice of Hyderabad High Court to recall the provisional allocation of subordinate judicial officers.
