Hyderabad: The unauthorised nine-member scrutiny committee of the Sports Authority of Telangana State (SATS) that authenticated certificates of sportspersons applying for medical college seats in 2017-18, will be dissolved.

Following the ACB crackdown on corrupt committee members and the arrest of deputy director, SATS G. Venkatramana, the SATS top brass constituted an independent committee to investigate into the corruption that surfaced with regard to the medical seat scam.

Sources in the government confirmed that the committee, headed by Papa Rao, submitted a detailed report to the Chief Minister’s Office.

Following this, the government is likely to come up with new guidelines for the Sports Authority of Telangana State.
