Rain wreaks havoc in Idukki

Kottayam: Large scale destructions occurred in various parts of Idukki district on Saturday in the heavy  rains and strong wind.  Heavy destruction happened in Rajakkad, Bison Valley and Rajakumary panchayats in Idukki district.

A heavy tree fell on the house of one Pichapillyyil George on Saturday around 6.30am destroying it.  The family members of George  including two children who were in the house escaped unhurt miraculously. More  than 50 houses at Anachal Oottycity are under in danger after landslides occurred in the hilltop. Many acres of land were washed away in the  landslide .
