Telangana intermediate exams cancelled, word on evaluation soon

HYDERABAD: The Telangana government on Wednesday announced the cancellation of the second-year intermediate examinations for the academic year 2020-21, which had been postponed due to the pandemic spread.  

While no mechanism has been put in place for evaluation of marks, education minister Sabitha Indra Reddy said the results will be announced soon. A panel will formulate the procedures to evaluate student performance on the basis of different mark slabs in various streams of intermediate courses. "We will submit the proposal as fast as possible," the official said.

Meanwhile, TSCHE president Prof T Papi Reddy said any decision on the admissions to conventional courses like BA, BCom, BSc will be based on the suggestions of the committee. Entrance exams will be conducted for all professional courses. A timeline on the release of results or for entrance exams for admissions has not been decided yet.
