Khammam: Pervert headmaster on the run held
He used to grope students, addressed them in vulgar language.
Khammam: The headmaster of a zilla parishad high school in Khammam district, who was on the run since February this year after police booked him for allegedly misbehaving with girl students, was arrested on Tuesday, police said.
B. Shanker Reddy, aged around 57, headmaster of the school at Kusumanchi, went to the town to meet his friend in morning. The cops, who were monitoring his mobile phone, arrested him from the bus stand.
Reddy had allegedly groped school girls and used filthy language against them. He also used to enter the bathrooms of the girls.
The girls complained to the parents and six students lodged a complaint against him on February 3. On learning of this, Reddy fled from Kusumanchi and spent time in Gujarat, Waran-gal and Hyderabad.
He used to change his cellphone SIM cards often to evade the police. The district police deputed a six-member team led by circle inspector O. Murali and sub-inspector Ashok Reddy. They tracked the moments of Reddy on the directions of ACP Ramoji Ramesh and nabbed him.
A case under Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act and SC/ST (Preve-ntion of Atrocities) Act was registered against the headmaster.
In 2015, a similar case was registered against the headmaster following allegations that he misbehaved with few girl students and he was then arrested and later released on bail.
