SC to hear Kavitha's plea against ED summons today

HYDERABAD: The Supreme Court will hear the plea of BRS MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha on Monday, challenging the summons served by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with the Delhi liquor scam case.

Kavitha had appealed to the court to quash the summons and direct the ED to not take any coercive steps against her in connection with the case.

The case will come up for hearing before the bench of Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul and Justice Sudhanshu Dhulia.

In March, Kavitha approached the apex court seeking protection from arrest and challenging the ED summons, but the court refused to provide respite. Following the judgment, she moved the court again.
