Cyber security affecting smart-phone users too: K Purushothaman
Purushothaman claimed that K7 Computing has initiated the first-of-its-kind educational program under its training business unit.
Tiruchy: K Purushothaman, CEO K7 Computing, Chennai, called upon the educational institutes to create awareness on cyber security as it has become a real-world problem today, due to which not just corporates but every smart-phone user is exposed to a threat.
Mr. Purushothaman made this observation while speaking at a conference to create awareness on cyber security initiated by his institution for the benefit of professors from various colleges and educational institutes at Tiruchy on Thursday. He also highlighted the growing cyber security trends and share insights about the threat landscape.
He claimed that K7 Computing has initiated the first-of-its-kind educational program under its training business unit. He also highlighted the dearth of right talent in cyber security space, which plays an important role in protecting India and Globe from this real-world problem, he added.
He further said, “Cyber Security is a real-world problem, as it stands next to natural disaster and extreme Economic Impact. Having said that, the awareness level amongst many is almost negligible and it is for this reason we have decided to launch this program. The plan is to cover educational institutes region wise and create awareness right from student level,” he added.
Speaking on the occasion, company’s assistant vice-president Ravi Sankar said that they are planning to set up labs not only to create awareness but also offer certificate programs to students in order to equip them to be industry-ready. As a pioneer in Indian Cyber Security space, they believe that it is their responsibility to initiate such programs and they are confident that these will help create the right talent to protect people and the country’s growth” he added.
