Edappadi K Palaniswami reviews development, welfare schemes on Day 2

Chennai: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, Mr. Edappadi K Palaniswami on Friday reviewed the implementation of various development and welfare schemes on the second day of the Collectors conference at the Secretariat here.
Mr. Palaniswami is learnt to have stressed to the Collectors to ensure that 'Kudimaramathu' schemes (to rejuvenate water bodies), rain water harvesting and other welfare projects were speeded up in their respective districts.
As on Thursday, he reiterated that Collectors should send monthly status reports on the implementation of various schemes to the Government for further action. Mr. Palaniswami also directed the district collectors to ensure that not even a drop of rainwater was wasted this year and steps taken for rainwater harvesting.
Deputy Chief Minister, Mr. O. Pannerselvam, senior ministers including Forest minister, Dindigul C. Sreenivasan, School Education minister, K.A. Sengottaiyan, Electricity and Excise minister, P. Thangamani, Higher Education minister K P Anbazhagan, Chief Secretary, K Shanmugam, and other top officials participated.
The district collectors who took part in the conference on the second day included: P. Ponnaiah (Kancheepuram), Ms Maheswari Ravikumar (Tiruvallur), R. Seethalakshmi (Chennai), K.S. Kandasamy (Tiruvannamalai), V. Anbuselvan (Cuddalore), S. Subramanian (Villupuram), S. Prabhakar (Krishnagiri), Ms. S. Malarvizhi (Dharmapuri), S.A. Raman (Salem), Dr M Asia Mariam (Namakkal), C. Kathiravan (Erode), K.S. Palanisamy (Tirupur), Ms. M. Vijayalakshmi (Dindigul), and Chennai corporation commissioner G Prakash.
