YSRC legislators demanded immediate discussion on special category issue.
Hyderabad: The AP Assembly on Friday witnessed unruly scenes as marshals tried to restrain YSRC legislators who grabbed the mikes of the Speaker and the treasury benches and uprooted the railing of the Speaker’s podium.
This was the second day of protests by the party in the Assembly against denial of special status to AP which turned into a ‘fight’ with marshals. Speaker Kodela Siva Prasada Rao expressed dissatisfaction over the proceedings and adjourned the House without conducting any business.
When the House assembled on Friday, YSRC legislators demanded immediate discussion on special category issue. Finance minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu said that the Chief Minister would give a statement, and the House could later take up discussion on it.
