GHMC rejects 15,493 Land Regularisation Scheme applications

The civic body has given shortfall intimation to 23,393 applicants and fee intimated notices have been sent to 1,167 applicants.

The corporation has given proceeding orders to 27,114 applicants, 3,046 applicants did not submit required documents hence they would not be disposed.

Hyderabad: After toiling over two years, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation has rejected as many as 15,493 applications applied under Land Regularisation Scheme (LRS). The corporation has received 85,260 LRS applications out of which 13,316 applications were found ineligible and 71,944 applications were processed. 

The corporation has given proceeding orders to  27,114 applicants, 3,046 applicants did not submit required documents hence they would not be disposed. The civic body has given shortfall intimation to 23,393 applicants and fee intimated notices have been sent to 1,167 applicants. Majority of them are in government lands, under Urban Land Ceiling, or in Full Tank Levels of lakes, besides entangled in court cases. The corporation official said that they would dispose applications by October 31, the deadline given by the government due to staff crunch.
