Telangana govt has no financial discipline: CLP
Speaking to the media, they said that the Budget showed that the government had no financial discipline.
Hyderabad: Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and lone Congress MLC T. Jeevan Reddy have strongly criticised the annual Budget presented by Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao in the Assembly on Monday.
Speaking to the media, they said that the Budget showed that the government had no financial discipline. They alleged that no funds were allotted to the unemployment allowance for educated youth that was promised during the elections and the 2BHK schemes.
They said that there was no mention of employment generation.
Mr Mallu Bhatti said the state government had cut the vote-on-account size by Rs 36,000 crore. When it comes to implementation, there will be further cuts in the spending.
He said that Mr Rao was blaming the Centre for his failures. He said that the Mr Rao has no right to mortgage people’s lands to borrow from financial institutions. He demanded that the CM reveal the details of 800 acres in Miyapur. He said the state government should construct 2BHK houses for the poor otherwise the party would start an agitation.
Mr Jeevan Reddy said the Budget was an example of the failure of last nine months. He said there was no clarity in the Budget on the waiver of farm loans. He also alleged that the government was not demanding national status to the Kaleshwaram project because of the fear that the taking of commissions will be exposed.
