Vijayawada: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu said in an open letter on Sunday that the construction of a world class capital city like Amaravati was crucial for economic growth and to create employment opportunities.

Mr Naidu vowed to transform AP into a world class state. Stating that Amaravati would be listed among the top 5 cities in the world, Mr Naidu said 13 leading international schools from across the globe had expressed keen interest in setting up their campuses in the capital city.
The government had made it a priority to enhance its human development index rating. For the first time in the country, discoms were monitoring power interruptions to the end consumer on a daily basis.
