Hyderabad: Mr K.S.B. Ali, who fought a legal battle against the HMDA on the Kokapet lands, said on Monday that the Supreme Court had not decided the title of the property.

He told mediapersons that the HMDA claim that the verdict was in its favour and land was handed over to the HMDA was not true.

He said the civil suit was still pending adjudication before the special tribunal, which was the competent authority to decide the dispute of jagir and maktha land. He said the lower courts were not competent to decide on these disputes.

Responding to this, HMDA commissioner T. Chiranjeevulu said that there was no special tribunal under Supreme Court to hear the matter.
