Telangana High Court to cops: Let mallanna campaign

Hyderabad: The Telangana High Court on Wednesday directed the Suryapet district SP to ensure that the election campaign of Teenmar Mallanna alias Ch.Naveen Kumar should not be obstructed by the police.
The Vacation Bench headed by Justice A Rajasheker Reddy was dealing with the petition by Mr Mallanna, who is contesting the by-election from Huzurnagar scheduled for October 21. Mr Mallana alleged that the Mellacheruvu police were not allowing him and his followers to campaign. They have asked him to show his licence for campaigning and have threatened his aides with dire consequences if they campaigned wearing shirts with his portrait printed on them.
