Hyderabad: Residents of East Anandbagh had a major relief as their demand for a bigger road has been approved. Road under Bridge (RUB) works at East Anandbagh have made a little headway after an inspection by officials of roads and buildings, GHMC.
The funds have been allocated by K.T. Rama Rao, municipal minister, to complete Anandbagh RuB. A total of Rs 34 crore has been set aside for development works and acquisition of properties, while '11 crore has been earmarked for shifting existing water pipelines near the RUB.
“In view of the High Court stay order on the acquisition of 54 properties, shifting of water pipelines and other utilities. Local residents and RWAs approached the GHMC project department, seeking an amicable solution, said B.T. Srini-vasan, United Federation of Resident Welfare Associations.
