Tamil Nadu to host investors' meet next year: M C Sampath

State has a number of competitive advantages like rich human resource, skilled man power, friendly industrial policies.

Chennai: As the 3-day Automotive engineering Show opened in the City on Thursday to new and evolving trends in the industry, the Industry, steel Control and Special Initiatives  Minister, M.C. Sampath said, “Following the  success of global investors meet in 2015, the government of Tamil Nadu has proposed to conduct such a mega event in the state in the year 2018. “State has a number of competitive advantages like  rich human resource, skilled man power, friendly industrial policies, land availability in developed industrial parks, reliable infrastructure, excellent port logistics among other aspects to attract global investors.

Moreover the state government has enacted a law namely Business Facilitation Act & Rules 2017 recently to enhance the  the potential investors to do business with more ease”, he said. “Chennai is one among the top 10 global auto hubs and contributes to 60% of the country’s automotive exports", he pointed out. The fair is organised by Messe Frankfurt India, the Indian subsidiary of one of the leading trade fair companies.
