Two more landmines detected in Visakhapatnam, defused

Visakhapatnam: The Vizag rural police has detected two more improvised explosives devices (landmines) planted by the banned Maoists near Bodaput of Barada panchayat under Munchingput mandal in Vizag Agency on Friday. The police had detected two landmines on Tuesday near Kumada under the Kumada Gram Panchayat in the Munchingput mandal in the Visakha Agency.
On the orders of Vizag Rural superintendent of police Rahul Dev Sharma, ASP (Operations) Babujee Attada and a bomb disposal team rushed to the spot and detonated the mines through controlled explosions. Each mine weighed about 10 to 15 kgs. Earlier, the police unearthed two mines from Rudaka Outpost in Pedabayulu mandal.
