Jagan Mohan Reddy tries to win over BCS, faults Naidu vows
N. Chandrababu Naidu was cheating every community of the State with unfulfilled promises.
KURNOOL: Claiming that Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu was cheating every community of the State with unfulfilled promises, YSRC chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy said that not even a single family is happy with the policies of TD over the last three and half years. Handing out a few iron boxes to washerman and a few scissors to barbars does not help improve the lot of backward community in the state, he quipped.
He said that he would field a candidate from the BC community in Anantapur district for MP position in the next general elections. Addressing a BC conclave organised at Garladinne in Singana-mala constituency as part of his Praja Sankalpa Yatra, Jagan said that at the time of 2014 elections, Mr Naidu had promised to include Kurumas and Rajakas into SC category and Boyas in ST category. But not one of the assurances was fulfilled. He said none of the castes were happy with TD rule.
Reeling out the unfulfilled promises, Jagan said that extending interest free loans up to Rs 1 lakh and subsidies to weavers still remain as sour grapes to the beneficiaries. Unveiling his vision of BC development, Jagan said that the political party in power should make policies to lift the people from the morass of underdevelopment. This was manifested during the regime of late DR YS Rajasekhar Reddy, he added.
But now things have gone from bad to worse after the demise of Rajasekhar Reddy, he reminded. He said that his Navaratnalu was the panacea for the problems being faced by all sections of the people in the state, including the BCs. He said that the YSRC party would allot one MP seat to the BCs in Anantapur. A large number of BC leaders, party workers and others were present at the BC conclave.
