Hyderabad: K.T. Rama Rao, IT minister, had the rare chance of climbing the Everest using a virtual reality headset at a gamer connect event in Gachibowli on Saturday. He also drove a high-end fixed sports car with monitors from LG and tried out the gaming chair by Sony PlayStation. Terming it as “fantastic way to start Saturday.”
The minister said, “Scope for India in gaming industry is huge. We have many youngsters who are extremely keen on doing something in gaming.” He said the government’s Image Tower and other initiatives will back them. The Image Tower is expected to be completed is two years. In 2017, Nvidia conducted four gamer connect events in Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Kochi and Lucknow and the final event is being held in Hyderabad from December 9.
