Bengaluru: From tomorrow, 8 hour power cut for 20 days
An official from Bescom said that the maintenance work will help stabilize the power supply in future.
Bengaluru: The residents of East and North parts of Bengaluru will have a tough time as there will be intermittent power supply from January 12 to 31 due to maintenance work by Bescom.
The areas in East division which will be affected are Indiranagar, Shivajinagar, Kammanahalli, Thanisandra, Banaswadi, Hegade Nagar, Horamavu, Hennur, RT Nagar, Ramamurthy Nagar, Kasturi Nagar, B Channasandra, Hennur, Chellikere, Kothanur, Byrathi village and surrounding areas.
An official release from Bescom said that around 307 areas in the East and North parts of the city will face intermittent power disruption from 10 am to 6 pm for 20 days due to replacement work of Coyote conductor by HT LS Conductor in the first bit from Hebbal MUSS to L.R. Bande MUSS of 66/11KV.
An official from Bescom said that the maintenance work will help stabilize the power supply in future. Citizens are worried as the daily chores would be affected due to the power disruption. Bhanu Narendra, a resident of Banasawadi said that intermittent power supply is worst.
It is difficult to plan the day as the power keeps going out every now and then. Worse, electrical gadgets get fused due to the erratic power supply.
