Kerala High Court grants anticipatory bail to Suresh Gopi
His vehicle was caught in the police surveillance cameras for speeding eight times.
Thiruvananthapuram: The High Court on Wednesday granted anticipatory bail to actor-turned Rajya Sabha MP Suresh Gopi in the case connected with the evasion of tax by registering his luxury vehicle at Puducherry. He was asked to provide a surety of two persons and Rs 1 lakh. He also has to present himself before the investigation officials every Saturday.
The HC had earlier issued an order preventing his arrest for three weeks. The case is for registering an Audi-7 car estimated to cost Rs 80 lakh at Puducherry in 2010 before he became an MP and registering another vehicle in a similar manner after he was made an MP.
