Hyderabad: Technical issues have been raised in the detailed project reports submitted by the Delhi Metro Rail with regard to covering the distance of 5.1 km from Nagole to LB Nagar and connections from Lakdikapul to Miyapur in the second phase of Hyderabad Metro Rail.

On connectivity between Nagole and LB Nagar, the government raised queries on signalling, types of train and technical issues as they must match with the system developed by L&T Metro Rail. Connectivity from Lakdikapul to Miyapur will require synchronisation and engineering compatibility with the existing structures.

A senior official said, “The engineering model of L&T will have to be followed in the extensions. The one from Raidurgam to the Shamshabad airport will not have too many problems as a depot will be created there. But wherever connectivity is to be created the systems will have to merge. This will require engineering, systems and information integration to work.”
