Hyderabad: Tremors were felt in Delhi-National Capital Region (NCR) and northern parts of India on Thursday following a 6.3-magnitude earthquake in the Hindu Kush region of Afghanistan. The quake, which occurred at 2:50 pm IST, had its epicenter located 241 kilometers north-northeast of Kabul. Afghanistan has witnessed multiple earthquakes with a magnitude of 6 and above since October of the previous year.
The seismic event caused panic among residents, with reports of furniture shaking in Delhi and the National Capital Region. However, as of now, there are no immediate reports of damage or casualties.
Simultaneously, parts of Pakistan also experienced seismic activity, with a 6.0 magnitude earthquake reported by the country's meteorological department. The epicenter was situated in the Hindu Kush region of Afghanistan, and the earthquake occurred at 2:20 pm local time at a depth of 213 kilometers.
