BioAsia to see 3,000 delegates; data, AI to be focus
The event will focus on India's bid for global research and development dominance, intellectual property, patent paradox and others
Hyderabad: The 21st edition of BioAsia, organised by the state government, will be held from February 26 to 28. at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC) in Hyderabad, industries minister D. Sridhar Babu announced on Thursday. The theme for this year’s edition is ‘Data & AI: Redefining Possibilities’.
The industry flagship event has emerged as a pivotal player in steering the development of the life sciences sector in India, playing a crucial role in redirecting focus towards advancements and challenges.
"BioAsia has emerged as a critical instrument for the development of the Indian and global life sciences and allied industries over the last two decades. Several global CEOs will be attending BioAsia for the first time,” Sridhar Babu said after reviewing preparations for the upcoming global conference.
The event is expected to attract over 3,000 participants. About 200 companies will be part of the exhibition.
"Over the past 20 editions, BioAsia has played an unmatched role in sparking the renewed emphasis on the life-sciences industry, rekindling attention from regulation, corporates, startups and allied sectors alike," said Jayesh Ranjan, industries principal secretary.

The event will see the presence of Chief Elective Officers David Ricks (Eli Lilly), Dr Christopher Boerner (incoming CEO of Bristol Myers Squibb), Geoff Martha (Medtronic), Stefan Kaufmann (Olympus) and Dr Rod Hochman (Providence),
Also scheduled to be present are the Nobel laureate Prof. Gregg Semenza of the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and Stefan Stoffel, global operating partner of Advent International.
