Hyderabad: 2 students drown in Jangaiah quarry

Hyderabad: Two students who went on a visit to a quarry in Jagathgiri-gutta accidentally drowned in it on Friday. The bodies of the victims S. Sai Chandra, 16, and S. Siddartha, were recovered from the quarry with the help of the fire brigade.
Police said Sai Chandra and Siddharth were doing first-year Diploma at the Central Institute of Tool Design in Balanagar. On Friday, after leaving college, the students came to the Jangaiah quarry in Jagathgirigutta.
At the quarry they accidentally fell into the water and drowned. Onlookers who saw the boys drowning alerted the police. The cops and the fire brigade rushed to the spot and recovered the bodies.
A case under section 174 CrPC was registered by the police. The cops are now investigating the case. The bodies were shifted to Gandhi Hospital for autopsy.
