5,000 candidates appear for 45 army vacancies at Kannur
The vacancies are for general duty, washer man and sweeper's post.

KANNUR: About 5,000 candidates from various states participated in the Army Recruitment Rally for 45 vacancies in the 122 Infantry Battalion of Madras Regiment held here on Thursday. Candidates from Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Goa and Daman & Diu participated, apart from candidates from Kerala.
The vacancies are for general duty, washer man and sweeper's post. The physical examination test finished on Thursday and the medical examination of selected candidates would be held on Friday.
Successful candidates would be required to appear for a personal interview. Colonel Harmanjit Singh, commanding officer of the 122nd Territorial Army battalion, is camping to monitor the recruitment procedures.
