Justice Adi can't attend office: Kagodu Thimmappa
Justice Adi had written to him, asking why he could not attend to regular duties as Upalokayukta.
Bengaluru: Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms will take a decision on whether Upalokayukta Justice Subhas B. Adi-against whom a motion has been moved in both Houses of the state Legislature seeking his removal-can attend office, said Assembly Speaker Kagodu Thimmappa.
Talking to reporters on Thursday, Mr Thimmappa said that according to rules, Justice Adi cannot discharge his duty as Upalokayukta since the motion for his removal for allegedly misusing his office, is pending with the Chief Justice of Karnataka High Court. Justice Adi had written to him, asking why he could not attend to regular duties as Upalokayukta. “According to me, he is not supposed to attend office. However, the DPAR has been asked to take a decision since it is an administrative matter.”
