The judge directed the board and the company to spell out their stand by March 13 in view of the statement of the ED.
Hyderabad: It was big relief to those awaiting registration of plots and villas in the Indu Aranya project at Hayathnagar of the city. The Enforcement Directorate informed Hyderabad High Court that it had not attached any villas or apartments and but just 1.5 acres of commercial property of the project.
Justice P. Naveen Rao was dealing with a contempt case by one Dhulipalla Ravi Prasad and another person seeking action against the Telangana state housing board and Indu Projects Ltd for not registering the flats in their name despite the court order.
The judge directed the board and the company to spell out their stand by March 13 in view of the statement of the ED.
The judge cautioned that the court would take action against the official concerned who made false submission that the project was attached by the ED under illegal investments case of Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.
The facts of the case were that the erstwhile AP housing board had allotted land to Indu Projects to develop a housing project in Tattiannaram of Hayathnagar area.
As the registrations were stalled after the illegal investments case, several buyers had approached the court seeking registrations.
The court directed the housing board and Indu Projects to register the flats and villas in the names of buyers and when respondents failed to do so, they have moved the contempt case.
Counsel for ED P.S.P. Suresh Kumar while submitting the affidavit, said it had attached commercial space in the venture in January 2018 and had no claim over the properties in the venture.
