Eleven die in twin mishaps on Vizag's NH-16

Visakhapatnam: In a ghastly twin accident, 11 persons, nine of them from two closely related families, were killed near here on the NH-16.
Elamanchili inspector K. Venkata Rao said that nine members of the two families were travelling in a car from Vizag to the Talupu-llamma Lova temple in East Godavari district. Driver E, Srinivas lost control of the vehicle after one of its tyres burst near Vedullapalem.
The car shot over the divider and rammed into a an oncoming trailer, killing nine persons. Moments later, a man who was on a scooter with his 10-year-old son hit the trailer from the rear, swerved to the left and collided with another car.
