Hyderabad High Court tells Mukarram Jah to settle Alimony case
While asking both parties to discuss the possibility of an amicable solution, the bench adjourned the matter to April 20.
Hyderabad: The Hyderabad High Court on Monday adjourned the hearing of an appeal to April 27 by Ms Manolya and her daughter Ms Niloufer, seeking maintenance from Mukarram Jah, the successor to the Nizam of Hyderabad. A division bench comprising Justice C.V. Nagarjuna Reddy and Justice T. Rajani was hearing appeals by Ms Manolya seeking $7,00,000 as mehr and $ 3,00,000 as repayment of a loan, $15,000 for her maintenance and $5,000 as maintenance for her daughter.
Earlier, a family court of the city, while decreeing the claim of Ms Manolya, rejected two other claims dealing with a bungalow in Ooty and the Chiran Palace. D. Prakash Reddy senior counsel appearing for Mr Mukarram Jah, told the court that his client was seeking an out of court settlement to put an end to the acrimonious battle. While asking both parties to discuss the possibility of an amicable solution, the bench adjourned the matter to April 20.
