Kannadigas in Goa need not panic: RV Deshpande

Belagavi: Amidst protests by various Kannada organisations against the eviction of Lambanis of Karnataka from Goa state, Industries Minister R.V. Deshpande said that Karnataka representatives had spoken to Goa CM Manohar Parikkar on the issue and had received an assurance that no Kannadiga living in Goa would face any inconvenience.

Assuring the safety of Kannadigas who were allegedly being forced out of Goa state in a fresh drive launched by the government, Mr Deshpande said that there was no reason for people to panic.

Commenting on the just concluded byelections, he said the Congress was set to win both constituencies by a huge margin.
