Bengaluru: Making it clear that there was no alternative candidate to Mr Narendra Modi for the Prime Minister’s post, BJP National General Secretary Mr Ram Madhav  asserted that leaders like Chandrababu Naidu,  K Chandrasekhar Rao, Mamata Banerjee and Sharad Pawar are dreaming of becoming PM.

“There is no one as capable as Mr Modi and he will  return to power. Unlike earlier elections when anti-incumbency used to be a factor, this time the incumbent PM himself has created a wave,”  said Mr Madhav at an interaction in the city.

Claiming that Mr Modi had understood the pulse of the people and knew what they wanted, the BJP leader slammed the Congress for coming up with a minimum income scheme which would only make people lazy, while the BJP was creating jobs for them.

During the last five years, the BJP government had not indulged in corrupt practices unlike the previous Congress government when the entire system was corrupt. Now, the entire system, including the bureaucracy is moving towards corruption-free governance, he added.
