Hyderabad: Coaching classes brace for quick NEET lessons
Neet will test the speed and accuracy.
Hyderabad: Medical aspirants in both states are gearing up to attend special classes after the Supreme Court mandated Neet all over the country. All coaching institutes are making arrangements to hold classes for two full months to teach students from NCERT syllabus.
Mr P.V.R.K. Murthy, chairman of Sri Gayatri Group, said classes will start in the next one week. There is no big difference between the state and NCERT syllabus, unlike in 2012 when it was almost 50 per cent.
“The syllabus for physics and chemistry is the same. The syllabus for biology is the same, but the examples cited by NCERT are different from the state lessons. Also, we do not study the practical part of physics and chemistry for Eamcet, but Neet includes questions from practical part.
Students should also refresh their science subjects from Classes 8 and 9 as a few questions figured in the Neet-1,” Mr Murthy said. Meanwhile, Naryana Educational Institutions’ director Sharani tried to allay fears of students over Neet.
Ms Sharani said that Narayana institutions would be offering coaching for the exam. Neet will test the speed and accuracy. The Eamcet paper used to have 160 questions to be answered in three hours. The Neet paper has 180 questions.
In Neet, unlike in Eamcet, a wrong answer will cost one mark.
