Panama Papers: No probe into offshore firms

Hyderabad: Nothing has been done on the investigation front regarding the offshore companies linked to AP and TS that were mentioned by the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists in 2013.
RBI Governor Raghuram Rajan had earlier said not all offshore companies were illegitimate and the finance ministry had echoed similar views. Regarding the 2013 leaks, no investigation has been done by either central or state agencies.
Among those who were listed as having offshore companies were Mr Tejaraju Byrraju, son of Satyam Ramalinga Raju, who was linked to Sharecorp Limited and Mr Pinnamaneni Trivikrama Prasad and Ms Sruti Pinnamaneni of Eclipse Capital Co Enterprise, a British Virgin Island company. Mr Prasad of Navabharat has been chargesheeted in the coal scam.
Others who were listed include Mr Ashwin Devineni, Mr Ashok Devineni of Fentree Capital Limited British Virgin Islands. Mr P. Venkata Rama Prasada Reddy of Aurobindo Pharma was linked with Orange Glow Limited of British Virgin Islands.
Mr Eswara Rao Grandhi of G, Heights Universal Limited of BVI, former MP Gaddam Vivekanand, Saroja Vivekanand Gaddam of Belrose Universal Limited were all mentioned as having offshore companies. All of them had denied any wrongdoing and had brushed aside the allegations.
