Kadakampally Surendran promises effort to cheer up Pooram fans

THIRUVANANTHAPRUAM: Devaswom Minister Kadakampally Surendran has said that the government would make efforts to facilitate the participation of Thechikottukavu Ramachandran in the festival proclamation event.
The minister made his stand clear following the legal opinion received from Advocate General. However, the final decision will be taken by the monitoring committee.
Kadakampally said he was hopeful of a decision that would bring cheer to the people of Thrissur particularly the pooram festival lovers. The government will take all steps to make the festival a big success.
The minister said that the government was duty bound to ensure the safety of the people on the one hand and ensure the success of the festival. Forest Minister K. Raju welcomed the High Court decision to refer the matter to the monitoring committee.
