Bengaluru: The Cottonpet police have registered an FIR against three BBMP officials for allegedly not taking care of stray dogs in the city.

An NGO, Civil and Green Warriors, had filed a complaint against Dr G Anand, Joint Director of Animal Husbandry department, Basavaraj, Assistant Director and Abhilash Maddur in charge of Animal Birth Control (ABC) Centre accusing them of abruptly shifting the stray dogs from the city to Kanakapura forest.

In her complaint, Geetha Mishra, an animal rights activist, stated that the sterilisation for the dogs was not conducted in a proper manner.
