CHAMARAJANAGAR: An injured male tiger which had strayed outside Hediyala range of Bandipur National Park and was targeting livestock, has been rescued and shifted to Chamundi Wildlife Conservation, Rescue and Rehabitation Centre in Mysuru district on Sunday.

On Sunday, Conservator of Forests and Director of Bandipur National Park Ambady Madhav, Hediyala RFO Sandeep and officials swung into action and darted the tiger locating its area by following pug marks in the region.
The tiger was darted at a field belonging to Veerabhadrappa near Kalikatte area outside the park. The captured tiger is 8 years old and in good health, says Mr Ambady Madhav adding that three teams were formed to locate the tiger.
