Hyderabad: The state government has appealed to land and property owners in the state capital to co-operate and negotiate with the administration if they had concerns on land acquisition, instead of approaching courts which would stall development projects.

Minister K.T. Rama Rao said the government wanted to acquire land with a humanitarian approach so that no one would get affected.

“We are including land acquisition in project costs. The Uppal region will be getting two more elevated corridors to ease traffic woes. If a hundred people lend a helping hand to government, lakhs of people would get benefitted,” he stressed.

With the pilot land pooling project in Uppal Bhagath becoming a success, he wanted officials to get down to business with same zeal for land pooling in Medipally and Pratap-singaram.

He told officials to take land owners into confidence and clear their concerns and only then go for land pooling. He said the government was keen to develop satellite townships along the 160-km ORR.

He announced a slew of initiatives like a Rs 50-crore convention hall, construction of a terminal in Cherlapally railway station and extension of MMTS to Yadadri.
