Telangana: Protest held for report of fee panel

Hyderabad: About 100 students, activists of women organisations and the Telanagana Parents Association staged a protest at the Ranga Reddy district collectorate against the delay in the report of the Prof. Tirupati Rao committee report on fee hikes in private schools on Monday.

The protestors met joint collector S. Sunder Abner and submitted a memorandum. Mr Abner said the administration would take action on private schools which sell books and uniforms in their premises.

Mr N. Narayana, state [resident, Telanagana Parents Association, said the fee panel report was being delayed by the government under pressure from private corporate schools.
