Asaduddin Owaisi blames Congress for Bihar's woes
When BJP was passing a bill in Lok Sabha to criminalise triple talaaq, no one supported me including the Congress, he said.
HYDERABAD: All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen chief Asaduddin Owaisi on Tuesday criticised the Congerss and said that the party was responsible for the backwardness of the Seemanchal belt in Bihar. Owaisi, who is on a two-day tour of Bihar, said, “When BJP was passing a bill in Lok Sabha to criminalise triple talaaq, no one supported me including the Congress,” he said.
Owaisi asked the gathering, “Have you ever thought about that the party you voted for and what happened to their alliance to defeat BJP and RSS? And now Nitish Kumar is seated in Modi’s lap and drinking milk,” he said. “I challenge everyone, whether it is the Congress party or Nitish Kumar, to explain what they did for the development Seemanchal and for the people of Seemanchal,” he said.
