CM Jagan Inaugurates AIL Dixon Electronic Unit at Kopparthi Park

ANANTAPUR: Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy on Monday inaugurated a unit of AIL Dixon Technologies in the Electronic Manufacturing Cluster (EMC) at Kopparthi Industrial Estate in Kadapa district.

The CM also set the foundation stones for several new industries in the park.

At the AIL Dixon Technologies premises, the Chief Minister took a round of the sections manufacturing surveillance cameras, digital recorders and laptops. Company officials explained to him about the functioning of various units.

The Chief Minister interacted with the workers and staff and asked them about the unit and their wages.

Senior officials of the industrial department signed MoUs with the home audio systems manufacturing company Channel Play and LED TV manufacturing company Techno Dam India for setting up their units in the presence of the Chief Minister.

Municipal administration minister Adimulapu Suresh and chief secretary K.S. Jawahar Reddy, several YSRC MLAs, MLCs and senior officials were present.

As part of a three-day tour in Kadapa district, the Chief Minister set foundation stones for developmental activities at an estimated budget of Rs 871.77cr. The foundation stone was laid for a new building for Kadapa Municipal Corporation at an estimated cost of Rs 31.17cr and another stone laid for a Rs 106 cr project for drinking water and drainage system for the weaker section habitations under the Kadapa corporation limits.

As part of the Amruth 2.0 scheme, the Rs 572.76cr worth drinking water project is designed to serve Kadapa town with water from Brahmam Sagar, while the drainage system costs Rs 69cr.

The Chief Minister flew to Vijayawada later in the day.
