DGP Reviews on Security Arrangements for I-Day Celebrations at Golconda Fort
Hyderabad: Director General of Police (DGP) Anjani Kumar on Friday said that the police had made all arrangements for the smooth conduct of Independence Day celebrations at the Golconda Fort, where Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao would unfurl the National Flag at the Martyrs Stupam at Secunderabad,
The DGP was speaking after a review meeting with the senior police officers and other officials to firm up security arrangements at both the events.
He said 14 LED screens would be erected to telecast the Independence Day celebrations at Golconda fort. The DGP directed police officials to take measures to prevent untoward incidents. The Water Board would supply free drinking water and the electricity department officials explained the arrangements for supplying power.
Police have made arrangements for parking 1,930 vehicles by issuing passes for entry into the premises. The DGP directed the officials to enhance security at the Golconda fort and its surroundings to thwart untoward incidents.
